ToolBar missing after re-booting

When I open a new message (untitled message) after a re-boot the standard
toolbar is missing. I go to view-toolbars and re check standard and it
reappears. For the rest of the day when i click new message it shows up. I
turn off my laptop and restart it later and when i open to compose a new
message it is missing and the zoom is at 150%. How do i fix this?

When you reboot, you are forcing Outlook to exit. Then after the reboot,
you are loading Outlook. So does the same problem happen when you REMAIN in
your Windows session and just exit and reload Outlook?

Did you install any add-ons that modify the toolbars to insert their own
buttons or other toolbars?

It happens when I shut down my laptop to take it home. I always shut down any
open apps then close through Start, shutdown....
I did download and load windows connector so i could get my hotmail in
outlook. But i just added a pop3 for hotmail and deleted connector. The
problem only happens on a fresh load after a shutdown. Once I go to
view--toolbars and check the standar bar and then change the screen
magnification to 100% is stays that way until i shutdown the computer...
Never a forced shutdown

Something (usually an add-in or a cradled handheld) is keeping Outlook open
even when you think it's closed. You can verify this by examining the
Processes tab in Task Manager after closing Outlook. If you see OUTLOOK.EXE
still running, use the techniques described here to discover why:

Yeah, I already got that but was NOT what I asked about. WITHOUT exiting or
logging out of your Windows session (which a shutdown would do), does the
problem remain when you exit and then restart Outlook?

You only mentioned the one add-on. Is that the only listed in Outlook?

No the problem does not exist if i shut down outlook and then re-open it.
Only exists when I do complete shut down.

Try the following:

- Reboot and return in Windows normal mode. On the first use of Outlook,
run it in its safe mode:

outlook.exe /safe

- Reboot into Windows' Safe Mode (with networking). On the first load of
Outlook, see if the toolbar is screwed up or okay.

Still awaiting a response that indicates if Outlook Connector is (or was)
the only add-on installed into Outlook.
