Toolbar print both sides?

OSX allows me to save a printer profile that calls my printer's duplex
('print to both sides') feature. The toolbar print button insists on using
the old printer setup, even though the File menu 'Print...' selection now
uses the duplex setup by default.

Is there a way to change or update the behavior of the toolbar print button?

Use View:Tollbars:Customize.
You'll see that you can customize the toolbars. You actually have a
choice there between two Print options. One of the uses the default
settings whereas the other one offers you the standard Print dialog.

The Toolbar button is intended to use whichever printing configuration you
have set as you "Default".

Go to System Preferences>Print and Fax and change "Selected printer in Print
dialog" to your duplex setup. That's the one the toolbar button uses.

The idea is that for a "quick print" you hit the button on the toolbar and
it fires one copy off to your "Default" printing setup.

If you want to argue, you use File>Print to specify whatever you like.
Settings made in File>Print apply only to the current job.
