Toolbar problem in Office 2000

Hi

I work as IT support for a company that uses MS Office 2000. Most of
the computers have no problems with this software. A few on the other
hand does for some reason not save any changes to the toolbar. I'v had
alot of experiance with Office, but this is something new. I know that
Adobe can be a reason why this is happening, but i have checked the COM
addins and there are none. As a side note Adobe reader 9 is installed,
and I did find traces that a version of adobe PDF writer has been
installed on several of the computers earlyer. I have also deleted the
addons from the registry just to be sure. This is still an issue.

I have been able to find a temp workaround by forceing Word to save the
changes by useing the save all function. This works ok, but its not a
good solution when were talking several computers.

Anyone have any sugestions to what I could try to fix this?

Unfortunately, the COM Add-ins only shows those add-ins that are installed
per user, not per machine so there could be another add-in causing this
issue. Here's a KB article that contains some troubleshooting methods you
can use to determine if there are add-ins running that you can't find:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555220

Disregard the title, start with the Resolution section and Method 2.
