toolbar question

Hello

not strictly a frontpage question but would appreciate any comments.......

my colleague seems to have had a rogue toolbar that's installed itself on
explorer 6. Its called "hotbar". If you remove it via the toolbar views
option it always reappears on the next browser restart.

Is this some sort of virus? Anyone know how to get rid of it? Do I need to
delete explorer and reinstall?

many thanks

Sounds like one of those commercial toolbars that you can pickup while
surfing the web.

Go to Control Panel and click on "Add/Remove Programs." Look for a "Hotbar"
in your list of programs on you machine. You should be able to delete it
from your machine with no problems.

If it is not listed on the Add/Remove list, try downloading SpyBot: Search
and Destroy. That should take care of it.
