Toolbar question

I like to have maximum space for writing so I have created a custom
toolbar with what I need. But Adobe Acrobat installs PDF maker, which I
would like, but it insists on having it as a second toolbar underneath
my custom toolbar, which is a waste of space and looks ugly.

Is there a way of locking it next to the custom toolbar or removing its
contents and putting them in my custom toolbar or something else?

No, I am afraid Adobe codes the position of their toolbar specifically. You
either have it, or you do not.

You can remove PDFMaker.dot from your Word/Startup folder. The toolbar will
go away when you next restart Word.

If you want it back, pop it back in the folder.

Cheers

That brilliant man John McGimpsey has a way to get rid of Adobe's cuckoo PDF
toolbar in Office, which is worth doing, because it's associated with some
problems. It's all explained at

* A SUGGESTION -- WAIT FOR CONSIDERED ADVICE: If you post a question, keep
re-visiting the newsgroup for several days after the first response comes
in. Sometimes it takes a few responses before the best or complete solution
is proposed; sometimes you'll be asked for further information so that a
better answer can be provided. Good tips about getting the best out of
posting are at http://word.mvps.org/FindHelp/Posting.htm (if you use Safari
you may see a blank page and have to hit the circular arrow icon -- "Reload
the current page" -- a few times).
