Toolbar Reviewing

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I want to highlight text in a Word document. I go to View > Toolbars >Reviewing, and the toolbar does not open. It has always worked before, and I can't understand how it just disappeared!

I don't understand what the Reviewing Toolbar has to do with "highlighting
text" but it may not be displayed if you have the area for docked toolbars
collapsed. Click the oblong button at the right end of the document Title
Bar & see if it shows up.
