Toolbar trouble

I am running Excel2000 I have Crystal Reprots installed on my machine
also. It has a plug in for Excel. That plug in installs an Icon to
launch Crystal Reports from excel. That Icon is its' own toolbar. I
want to drop it down to sit next to another toolbar but it keeps
popping back up to the top toolsbar line by itself. Now rather than
having two lines of toolbars running across my screen I have 3. The
first one being one button for Crystal, the second one having my
Standard and Formatting toolbars, and, my 3rd on having a Forms
toolbar. There is room next to Forms toolbar to place this Crystal tool
but it won;t stay there when I restart excel. Any hints?

Thanks,
Dave

I had similar trouble. Actually, it behaved nicely on my pc, but on a
coworker's pc, it did what you described.

We copied the icon to one of his existing toolbars and he had access to the
icon. But the other toolbar would pop up destroying the layout of the toolbars!

He now has a workbook in his XLStart folder that has one macro in it:

Option Explicit
Sub auto_open()
On Error Resume Next
Application.CommandBars("badtoolbarnamehere").Visible = False
ThisWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False
End Sub

I've forgotten the name of the toolbar though.

It just opens, hides the toolbar and closes.

If you're new to macros, you may want to read David McRitchie's intro at:
