Processor: Intel

I have a couple of questions:
1) is there a way to drag one of the toolbars to the left of my doc, rather than position it along the top (I could do this in previous Word)?
2) is there a keyboard or toolbar command to enable m to jump to end or beginning of doc?
3) there used to be a toolbar called PowerBook that had commands for end/beginning of line, page & doc. Anything like that in this new version?
thanks!

Hi Elinor - See the inline replies below;

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I have a couple of questions:
1) is there a way to drag one of the toolbars to the left of my doc, rather
than position it along the top (I could do this in previous Word)?

The bar must first be un-docked - the Standard toolbar can't be un-docked.
Control+Click the bar & choose the Dock Toolbar in Window command to clear
the check.

Then use the diagonal hash marks in the lower right corner of the bar to
stretch it into a vertical alignment. The darker "tab" at the top or left
end of the floating bar (where the circular "Close" button is) can be used
to drag the bar to where you want it.
2) is there a keyboard or toolbar command to enable m to jump to end or
beginning of doc?

On a standard keyboard:

End = Command+End
Beginning = Command + Home

It varies depending on keyboard as to whether you may also need to use
another modifier key, such as Fn... And the Home & End keys may be
"disguised" as part of the Arrow key group. Without knowing more about which
keyboard you have it's impossible to say for sure.
3) there used to be a toolbar called PowerBook that had commands for
end/beginning of line, page & doc. Anything like that in this new version?
thanks!

I don't think it exists any longer - honestly can't say because I've never
gone looking for it :) Use Help to look up Keyboard Shortcuts & you should
find more than you bargained for. As noted above, some may have to be
adapted depending on the style/layout of your specific keyboard.

thank you so much! Everything worked just as you suggested. I love my new computer, although I also want it to function exactly like my last one...

Thanks for taking the time to confirm! If you have any other questions
you'll most likely find an answer here - or at least direction to where the
answer can be found.
