Toolbars - how do I get them in Word 2007

Perplexed

I used my MailMerge toolbar in Word 2003 so I didn't have to go through a lot
of other screens to do a mail merge on a form. It allowed me to simply grab
my file and merge it. Where do I find this in Word 2007? Same with the
drawing toolbar? Help - it seems like a lot of rigamarole (spelling?) to do
a mail merge without that toolbar!

Hi Perplexed,

Office 2007 uses a new interface as you've noticed :) The ribbon shows contextual tools, for graphics as an example, when they're
selected, or use the right click context menus. To start most graphic/drawing actiions many of the old drawing bits stem from the
Insert tab.

In addition to the Mailings tab for mailmerge, the oldstyle Mailmerge dialog is still available and can be added to the Quick Access
Toolbar (QAT)
Office Button=>Word Options=>Customize=>All Commands
and select the 'Mailmerge helper'

but in general the old menus and toolbars aren't accessible in the new version except with a 3rd party add in.

These links to tools, command maps and addins for working with Office 2007 may be helpful in finding your way around in the new
version :)
