Toolbox Settings Won't Stick...

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I'm trying to enable my "Colors, Weights, and Fills" tab in the Formatting Palette but the only tabs that will show up are the Font, Number, Alignment and Spaces, Border and Sharing, Page Setup, and Document Theme tabs.
All of the options are selected, and I even tried deselecting a few to see if there was any difference. (There wasn't.)
I'm just trying to color my tabs so I can color code them!

Can anyone think of a reason why this is happening and how I can fix it?

If you're referring to coloring the [name] tabs of worksheets, that
capability has not been included in Mac Excel. For now, at least, it is a
feature available in the more recent Windows versions only.

First, tabs can't be colored in any MacXL version - you can send your
request for this feature to MS (via Help/Send Feedback).

Second, the Formatting Palette is context sensitive - it only displays
sections that are relevant to what is selected. Colors, Weights and
Fills will show up when you have an object or Chart where the tools on
that section can be used.
