I am trying to pull a sample from a column with the above data entry format.
When using the Tools-Data Analysis-Sampling option I receive an errror
"Sampling - Input range contains non-numeric data. What is needed to allow
an valid sampling? I should mention the data in the column above is automated
based on the following formula: ='RANDOM SAMPLE LISTING'!H2.
My file has 4 worksheets,
Sheet 1 " Copy_Sheet - Data is copied to this sheet.
Sheet 2 "Universe of ICN" - Data is automatically entered to this sheet
based on formula shown above.
Sheet 3 "Random Selection Worksheet" - This worksheet is used to identify
duplicates based on the following formula =IF(B1="","",IF(B2=B1,"Duplicate",
"")) then remove those duplicates.
Sheet 4 "Random Sample List" - This worksheet has formulas in hidden columns
A - K. The "H2" column formula is =CONCATENATE(G2," ",E2," ",A2) (G2
is Check Amt, E2 Is Check No. and A2 is Process Type). Is it possible for
excel to change the Process Type column A2 to number, then back again to the
process type after the random sampling has been selected?
