I cannot change the level of my macro security to Low
because there is no securty option when i click tools ,
macro from the file menu.

I am working off a newly installed access 2003, anyone
heard of this problem or know a fix.

The error message i get is that i need JET service pack 8
or later to enable sandbox mode..I installed 7, and i do
not see a service pack 8 avaialvble anywhere!

same problem here
I just upgrade from office XP to Office 2003 on a window
XP machine. I can not see the macro security setting tab
in the macro menu either. I tried uninstall office XP
completely, then fresh install office 2003 again, still
no luck, the Security tab still does not show up. But
when I installed Office 2003 in another machine with
fresh installed windows XP, the security tab will show
up...

Gary,

If you want to change macro security and you don't see the Security
option in Tools | Macro, then use these steps:

1. Navigate to View | Toolbars | Customize
2. Click the Toolbars tab.
3. Click Macro Design & Reset.
4. Click Close.
5. Close and restart Access.

Then, you can change the macro security to low (or any other setting)
via Tools | Macro | Security.

Solved it... Go to View, Toolbars, and customize. Then
select Tools on the left, open the Tools Menu from the
menubar at the top (it will stay open while in this mode)
and then drag security from the very bottom of the right
pane in the customize window into the drop down list.
