My wife is taking an excel class and the work book s for office 2003. In the workbook and my 2000 office version on another pc computer, On the task-bar if you go to tools--options, then a large menu pops up and you can make major changes to the office settings. On the mac 2008 version the options menu in tools doesn't exist.
Is there any way in the mac version of office to bring up this option?

The Mac equivalent of Options is Preferences, and in Office programs is in
the [Application Name] menu (In this case: Excel> Preferences). In some
other Mac programs Preferences may be located in the Edit menu.

Bob,

I haven't seen, a Mac application in ages, that has preferences in the
edit menu.

That was popular back in Mac OS before 7.x after 7.x and the advent of
the PowerPC Chip everyone gravitated, using the Applications menu (menu
that has the name of the application).
The Mac equivalent of Options is Preferences, and in Office programs is in
the [Application Name] menu (In this case: Excel> Preferences). In some
other Mac programs Preferences may be located in the Edit menu.

Quite true, Phillip, not many at all. That's why I used the qualifiers
"some" & "may" just in case the OP happens to run across one.
