Trace a floorplan

I have a paper copy of a site plan with 4 buildings. I have scanned the copy
to a .jpg, .gif file. Is it possible to trace or convert the buildings
walls, layout from the .jpg file into Visio?

One technique might be to read the jpg onto a background page and then do
the drawing on a foreground page that uses it. You might also see if the
site (real estate dept.) people have softcopy of the building drawings, with
a little luck you might be able to import them directly.
