Hi.

I don't know about ADO's execution tracing, but if you want to trace or
analyze Jet's query execution plans, use Jet's built-in JETSHOWPLAN. Please
see the following Web page for a link to Susan Sales Harkins's and Mike
Gunderloy's article, "Use Microsoft Jet's ShowPlan to Write More Efficient
Queries."

http://www.access.qbuilt.com/html/articles.html

However, there's a syntax error in the article's Listing A (we've notified
the publisher but they haven't fixed it), which Access MVP Tom Wickerath has
fixed and has a link to the zipped file in his article, "Implementing a
Successful Multiuser Access/JET Application" in the "Use JETSHOWPLAN"
section. You may find a link to his article on the same Web page as the URL
above.

Hi, Miro.
Thank You very much.

You're very welcome.
Should this work under Office 2007 too ?

I don't know. I haven't tested Access 2007, but if the database is in MDB
format, I would expect JETSHOWPLAN to work, because MDB's need to have Jet
4.0 working properly, with all of its Windows Registry entries, too. The
ACE database engine has some similarities with Jet, but you'll have to check
the Windows Registry to see if there are matching Registry keys. I suspect
that that particular part hasn't changed much at all with the ACE database
engine's version.
