track and trace

Hi,
I have run into a problem with the 2007 version. Is it possible to have more
than one author (use two different colorings) when you use the track and
trace? The author has put in some changes, and I have made changes in a
manuscript. Can we see who has changed with. Hope you understand my question.
Thank you

Yes -- you don't have to do anything at all (so long as you and the
author are using different computers/different copies of Word; or, if
you're using the same copy of Word, change the User Name for the two
of you).

Also, to see different colors, click the down arrow on the Track Changes
button and choose Change Tracking Options; in the dialog, set the color
boxes for insertions and deletions to "By author".

It sort of works. I get different colours, but usually I could see who had
changed what by dragging the mouse over the corrections. Does that function
disappear when you use different colouring?
