Track call in Office 2002

I'm trying to use Office 2002 to track who I have called and what items need
to be followed up with. I'd like to have reminders set. I'm not sure what
the best way to do this is. I've looked at creating tasks in the my To Do
list but that doesn't seem to be the right place. I've tried to find
something in Contacts but don't see that there is a what I need there.
What's the best way to do this??
