Track change pasting as text without change in format

is there a way to paste as text the correct and the old
text whithout losing the formating(i want the old text to
be stike-out) but keeping the new and the old text in the
document. I'm working with Word 2000.Is it possible the
same thing in Word XP. If a VBA is needed i would like to
know it. thanks

Hi tromoskaifobos

It's entirely unintuitive. If Track Changes is on, and you copy text
with tracked changes, then word does not copy the tracked changes. If
Track Changes is off, then Word does copy the text and its tracked
changes.

So, turn off Track Changes (double-click the TRK in the status bar so
that it is not darkened). Now, copy and paste in the usual way.

Hope this helps.
