Track changes - 2nd pass in different color

Jennifer

I need to track changes in a document that already has
changes in it tracked in red. I need to show the second
pass of changes in a different color. However, when I
attempt to change the track changes color, it changes the
color for the changes already made. Is it possible to
have a two track changes colors on one document? If so,
could someone please tell me how?

Yes, you just have to be a different "author." Set Track Changes to color
edits "By Author" and then change your name on the User Information tab of
Tools | Options. You needn't be an entirely different person--just add or
remove a middle initial, use an initial for your first name, or maybe add
"Second pass" to your name. Anything to differentiate it from the Reviewer
name associated with the initial edits.

Note that this will have bizarre effects in the File Properties of any other
documents you might create while you have this setting in force, so be
careful to edit the properties as needed!
