track changes and bookmark problems

I use Word 2000 and I am working with a document that has bookmarks. I am
tracking the changes that I make. After I accept all changes and then print
the document, the changes to the bookmarks that I accepted come back.

Do you have bookmarks displayed (Tools | Options | View)? It is very
difficult to edit text in bookmarks without deleting the bookmarks.
