Track Changes Automatically Comes On

Word XP in Office XP.

I have an HTML document created in Word, and I copy and
paste text from it into another Word .doc document and I
sometimes get track changes coming appearing about
formatting changes. I have to Accept All changes before
the balloon is removed. The Word Document has never been
tracked. It does not seem to affect the file, as far as I
can tell, but it just seems an odd thing to happen. Any
clarification on this would be appreciated.
