Track Changes Bubbles

Doreen

Hi,

Word 2002...Track changes bubbles print to the edge of the page, which is
bad b/c my printers don't print to the edge of the page. I have found how
to change where the bubble shows up in relation to the text, but not in
relation to the margin.

Anyone know how to make it not print to the margin?

Thanks!

What setting do you have for "Paper orientation" in Tools | Options | Track
Changes?

You might try diddling with the size of the bubbles (either absolute or as a
percentage of the page width). You'd think, though, given how closely Word
is tied to the printer driver and how quick it is to tell you that your page
margins are outside the printable area (even when it's not true), that it
would not be trying to print outside the printable area.

The size of the bubbles doesn't adjust from the margin, it adjusts from the
text (so a smaller percentage shows more document text on a line and less
bubble text).

I was surprised that it wanted to print so close to the edge of the page as
well. I've already told the user that there might not be a solution to it,
but if you think of anything else, I'll give it a shot!!

Thanks!

Since you would think that Word would not exceed the margins set for the
document, I wonder if the problem could be that the actual page margin for
the document is too close to the edge. This could have happened if the user
didn't understand why the right margin was excessively large (to allow for
the balloons).
