Track Changes Feature

Hi,

I am running MS Word 2001 on a Macintosh. When I am done
using the track changes feature, I would like to conclude
by having my document appear on my monitor without any
marks or highlighting whatsoever.

Using the "Accept or Reject Changes" menu, I have tried to
meet this end by selecting the "Changes without
highlighting" option in the "View" section of this menu.
While on my monitor I am left with some mild highlighting
and the reference numbers for my comments, hitting the
print button under these conditions causes both the
highlighting and reference numbers to not appear on the
printed page.

How do I get the highlighting and reference numbers to
disappear on the document when viewing it on my monitor? I
have tried everything I could think of.

I look forward to your response. Thanks!

I would have guesses:
Tols:Track changes:Highlight changes...:Highlight changes on screen
de-selected. It doesn't work ??

Kath,

I'm not sure whether you just don't want to know what is (or has been) going
on, in which case Corentin's advice is spot on (as usual) -- or whether you
want to accept all the changes and not to have any tracking to occur in
future when you work on the document -- which makes for a more stable
document (files can super-bloat if you keep working extensively on a long
document under those circumstances, since Track Changes is beavering away in
the background but you don't know because you have suppressed the view).

If the latter, post back and we can take you through it.
