Track Changes: how to deactivate Highlight Changes on Screen?

Whenever I open a file that I'm editing using Track Changes, the changes appear on screen. They also appear when I send the file to someone else. I want the changes to be available on-screen, but don't want them to appear by default every time the file is opened. How do I change the default mode?
Thanks

Not gonna happen - it's designed that way in order to protect users from
disclosure that is potentially embarrassing - or worse. MS slipped a
document specific feature into the PC version to hide the changes & has been
under fire for it ever since - I'm not even sure it hasn't been disabled.

All the recipient need do is select Final from the view list on the
Reviewing toolbar if they don't want to see the markup... A small price to
pay if it keeps one from losing a major account or a lawsuit :)
