I am running into similar issues:
Two similar problems to the post of 2/13/04 regarding
track changes and formatting - sorry for re-post of
similar issue but I Was hoping this would inspire, and my
reply to that post did not automatically elevate this to
the top.
1) Save a document with Page X of Y in footer. E-mail it
to a friend. Friend opens document, and finds that the
Y in the footer is Y(strikethrough)(space)Y ... i.e.,
Word is re-calculating the page total and tracking its
change.
2) Friend opens same document, finds that the table of
contents has also re-calculated itself and tracked each
change.
Any new inspiration based on this issue?
