Track Changes - revisions change to the same color after re-openin

I've been having a problem with documents created using prior versions. When
track changes is on, revisions appear as different colors by author (as it
should) until I save the document. Then all revisions change to the same
color and no longer indicate the author.

I've checked my document settings and revisions are supposed to appear as
different colors by author.

Hoping someone could help me on this.
