I would say that's a corrupt document.
In Word>Preferences>Security check the setting of "Remove personal
information from this file on save". If that's turned on, I think it takes
the date off the tracked changes.
I would never edit a document for more than one or two sessions with tracked
changes turned on. It is likely to corrupt the document, and you lose the
whole document if that happens.

As I add new edits to a document with track changes turned on, the previous
balloons of changes all have their older dates (and times) changed to the
current date and time...? Is this a bug or a preference? I have looked on the
preferences and cannot find such an option. Thanks for your help!
