track changes

I have always used Track Changes when editing a document
with other people. The last several times I have gone to
use it, though, it doesn't work.

Specifically, I can't get it turned on even though I
click the Track Changes button on the Reviewing toolbar.
I've never had a problem with this function before, so
what am I suddenly doing wrong?

Hi Kathy,

Reviewing toolbar? So this is Word 2002 (or maybe 2003)?

At the very left of the toolbar is a dropdown list that
shows either "Original", "Original with markup", "Final" or
"Final with markup". If you don't have one of the "Markup"
selections showing, that's why you're not noticing anything.
