Earlier versions of Word allowed deleted text to be
displayed with a different color than inserted text. Word
2002 (10.4524.4219) sp-2 doesn't seem to let you do this.
Deleted text is shown with strikethrough, but it is the
same color as inserted text... Is there a way to change
this?

In word 2000, I would go to Tools > Options > Track
Changes. I assume it's similar in Word 2002.

That's right. This oversight is corrected in Word 2003. There are some
macros floating around, however, that allow you to set a different format
for deleted text in Word 2002. Search Google Groups for "Word 2002 deleted
text." One thread on the first page of Google hits is Shauna Kelly's reply
