track changes

I'm using Word 2002 SP-2 on XP Professional. I often receive large documents where the author has used "Track Changes." Sometimes authors forget to Accept or Reject their changes. My job is to move the documents to a secure location. But I need to ensure that all pending changes have either been accepted or rejected. The catch is, I can not accept or reject the changes. Any documents with with pending changes must be returned to the author to have the changes accepted or rejected.

Is there an easy way - other than reviewing the document word for word - to determine if a document has pending changes?

Not sure I understand the exact problem, but if you click
Tools > Track changes > Highlight changes, and check the
box for "view changes on screen" you should be able to see
the tracked changes. If not, go to Tools > Options.
Click the Track Changes tab and make sure options are
selected for additions, deletions, etc.

In Word 2002, display the Reviewing toolbar, set the view to Final Showing
Markup, and click the Next button to get to the next tracked change or
comment. If there are none, you'll get a message to that effect.
