track changes

I have track changes turned on and it is set up to show in balloons on the
right margin along with strikethrough and color formatting in the document.
When I go and add more information, then make another change to some of
this, these changes are not showing up. Should it not show up as I type and
edit new information?

Did you accidentally turn off Track Changes? or,

If you make a change to an addition that's tracked (i.e., to something
that's red and underlined), then it won't register as a change to the
change unless you use a different user name (and then it'll appear in
blue, the color for a second user). It thinks you're simply making a
different or altered change to the original document (which, after
all, is true).
