Track Changes

G

glovely

Hello. I need help. I am working on a project and I, sadly, have a
WIndows machine and my less-experienced colleague has a Mac. We are
using Word and he is having trouble with Track Changes. When I have
Track changes active I have a choice on my toolbar to show "final" or
"final showing markup" does he have this choice as well? Is it called
something different?

HELP! Project deadlines are approaching!

It depends on what version of Word he is using - in XP(2002) or 2003 it
should be available from the Reviewing Toolbar. If that isn't turned on,
have him rt-click any toolbar/menu bar and select it to make it active.

If he's using Word 2000 or earlier I don't believe the option was available,
but maybe someone with a better memory will say for sure :) I'd check it
myself, but my VPC blew up last weekend taking Office 2000 along with it!

Good Luck |:>)

Have the Mac guy go to View>Toolbars and select the Reviewing toolbar. At
the left side of that toolbar is a box with the options you mention. He
needs to click on the arrow next to that box to see them.
