Track Delay Time

Ben Dummar

We want to accuratley track total Delay Time to offset potential LD charges.

We have the following outline
Project Name
Delays Project Total
Bldg A
Delays Bldg A Total
Section 1
Delays Section Total
Activity 1 Delay 1
Activity 1 Delay 2
Phase 1
Activity 1
Activity 2
Activity 3
Phase 2
Phase 3
Bldg B
Delays Bldg B
.....

When we get delayed we enter a delay in the activity it affects then we have
the Total activity Delay as a predecessor to Total Bldg Delay which is a
predecessor to total Project Delay. How do we get it to accurately total all
the delay time?

Hello Ben,

If you save a baseline before commencing your project and are
updating the project's progress, the difference between baseline
dates, cost, duration, and work are calculated for you and will roll
up from individual tasks to the summary task.

It isn't necessary to add the additional "delay" task.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
