trackin local resources work

hello,
i have a local resource in my project. i can't track its hours via project
professional, because my connection via VPN fails. so i would like to know if
there is a way to track its hours at PWA, althoug i'm not really the executor
of that work but the project manager..

Hi Maria,
yes VPN is not a good way to connect to Project Professional. You may want
to see if you can logon via Termnial Server.
To answer your question, PWA does not allow you to update time of a local
resource. The only way to do this is to make this resource a global resource.
you would then have the ability to update the time of this user via PWA
(under adjust actuals).
But your main problem will still remain, since you will need to have to
update the project via Project Professional. You may want to check if you can
use PP via Terminal server or Citrix
