Tracking button option in Microsoft Calendar

Mel

Hello. After using the calendar functions in Microsoft Outlook 2007. It
appears that the function to track meetings does not include the option for
the attendees to also see that status of the other attendees in a meeting is
not available.

The functionality to be able to inlcude this information should be mandatory
since without the attendees knowing the status of the meeting organizer, then
they will not know who is going to be there and what is going to be at the
meeting and what to expect.

Is there a way to be able to include this functionality for people attending
meetings to be able track who is also attending the meeting in addition to
the meeting organizer?

The only way attendees can see who was invited is if they open the event on
the organizers calendars.

Information such as the reason for the meeting should be in the subject or
notes field. The attendees can see who was invited by looking at the
addresses on the form - its not really their business to know who has
accepted. If you need to know, ask the organizer.

Diane,

I wanted to see if there was a way for the people who are attending these
meetings to be able to know who is attending. If they don't know who is
attending, then it seems that they would have an issue finding out what to
bring to the meeting, what kind of information they are going to collaborate
on and what topic and specialization they are going to have at the meetings
so they know how to prepare.

If they they have no way of knowing who is going to be at the meeting then
they have to contact each other or the organizer to find out, but it seems
that they would have to e-mail each other or call to find out this
information. Do you think there is a way, this could be done otherwise?

Thanks for your reply.

Details such as you have outlined should be detailed in the meeting request
by the organizer.
