Tracking changes

What is the best way to track changes made to a flow chart? I thought about
using the track markup feature, however I am not sure if it would work
because of the layering. I work with flow charts that are modified sometimes
up to 30 different times.

Unless you are working with a serious document management system, you
probably need custom code.
