tracking changes...

hullo!

i'd like to know if there is a way to track changes in a
word document, without actually turning on track changes.
basically, what i'd like to be able to see are different
changes that document went through before i received it.

word 97 sr2.

anyone have any ideas?

Hi

The short answer is no. The only time you can see tracked changes in Word is when (a) tracked changes has been on while changes were
made and (b) any changes that were tracked have not been accepted or rejected.
