Tracking Journal entries from files on a file server

We have a client who can't track entries in Outlook Journal with files on a file server. He has Office 2007 and connecting to Exchange Server 2007.

Also, workers at the same company can't use Outlook Journal to track entries. One has Outlook 2003, another Outlook 2007. Both are using the rest of Office 2000.

Are there plugins for this?
