Tracking past due Dates

I am tracking dates in a log and need the template to automatically highlight
past due dates in red fill. Does anyone know how to do this? For example,
the column will have a heading "Removal Date." One removal date is 4/3/07.
Once 4/3/07 arrives I want it to make that cell red.
