Tracking Project Progress - pre-'accept'ance analysis

I am just wondering if there is anyway to analyze the impact of a resources
updates to a task prior to accepting the change(s) into the plan in Proj.Pro.?
I am trying to understand the impact of my schedule, but each time I accept
a change I can not undo it.

The only way is to select Cancel instead of OK when project offers to save
the changes. Then, evaluate the impacts and, if you want to discard them,
close the project without saving it.

The updates you accepted but did not save will still be in your Updates
section of PWA, awaiting your action.

the problem we encountered that the updates remain as "accept" in the updates
page and cannot be changed to reject - so it's a semi solution to the
problem. is there a way to make these updates that we didn't save open to
changes ?
