I want to add a column with the happy faces. I have 2 other columns with
dates, "FINISH" and "PROJECTED DATE." As long as the finish date is earlier
than the proj. date I want the face to be green but once the finish date goes
later than the proj. date I want it to turn red. Does MS Project do this,
and if so how do I set it up?
Thanks

Hi ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

This is not difficult to set up. However, I question your fields and the
data in them. Project has a built in column (field) called Finish, so what
dates do you intend to put in your column? Secondly, Project's Finish
column holds the calculated finish date which is the projected or planned
date. So what are you putting into your Projected Date column? That said,
detailed guidance for setting up indicators is in my series on Microsoft
Project in the TechTrax ezine, particularly #15 on customizing fields, at
this site: http://tinyurl.com/2xbhc or this:
http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMFrame.asp?CMD=ArticleSearch&AUTH=23
(Perhaps you'd care to rate the article before leaving the site, :)
Thanks.)

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
