Tracking Selected Contacts - All Items

I have selected the contacts I would like to track "all items" .....when I go to view my journal (after I have sent a e-mail to the contact) I can only see...direct "phone" journal entries.

I'm not able to track...."task" "e-mail"....for my selected contacts
