tracking settings problem

Hi,

if the project server is running in the following tracking settings

" Actual work done and work remaining"

and manager publish the tasks but after few days we have change the tracking
settings to the following

" Hours of work done per day or per week"

now the tasks which have published on previous tracking settings are still
on previous settings on time sheet whether we publish them again on new
tracking settings .
pls tell how we can update the previous tasks into new tracking settings.

Basim --

Each project manager needs to open his/her projects and click Collaborate -
Publish - Republish Assignments, and then click OK. Please note that this
procedure will only affect unstarted tasks. If a task has started using the
old method of tracking, then it will maintain the old method of tracking
until the task is completed. Hope this helps.

Any current tasks that have been published using the previous settings
that have actuals reported against them will stay at that method of
tracking until completed. New tasks will be in the new method.

As a best practice, your organization should pick a method and
standardize on that, and lock it down. It's very confusing to team
members to have to adapt to different ways of reporting actuals.
