Tracking System

I'm new to the Public School System. I worked for 15
years in the private sector until we were "downsized).

I just started this position in a very old public
elementary school. Does anyone have any suggestions which
would allow Teachers to submit request for help via some
type of tracking system. Nothing too complicated, however
efficent enough for me to track daily call productivity
and generate reports containing Equipment serial numbers,
etc. Because they are use to just walking over to
my "office" or in the hall and ask question/I need
statements(that's not going to work for me).

I look for something similar to Track-It by On-Technology
but cheaper or free even. This would have to be a web-
based program considering I have one Novell Server running
3.11.

Are you feeling my pain!! :(

If it comes down to it, I'll enter the datta from Excel 97
into Access 97 to at least keep track of the equipment.
Unfortunately the way the spread sheet was created I don't
think there's going to much of a chance of a successful
import into Access. HELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!
