Tracking

Other than creating schedule/tasks In MS Project, is there another way of
creating something else that can serve as a means for tracking work/tasks…

Thanks

Hi Sundos,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Have you had a look at the Tracking Gantt from the View menu? You need to save a baseline first, before you start your project and current progress will be shown on the same chart.

You might like to have a look at my free series for beginners on Microsoft Project in the TechTrax ezine, particularly #25 on beginning tracking, at this site: http://tinyurl.com/2xbhc or this: http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMFrame.asp?CMD=ArticleSearch&AUTH=23
(Perhaps you'd care to rate the article before leaving the site, :) Thanks.)

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi Sundos,
You may look at SharePoint, it also have basic features of tracking tasks
such as; %comp. due dates, assigned to, status, gantt chart view and so on.
You may also, share task info. with others through the intranet and apply
permissions and document control over it.

Hope this helps
