Traffic lights and behind schedule tasks in the future

I have followed the instructions to add traffic lights to manage schedule
varience and it has worked well in project web access. Unfortunately the
traffic lights depend on updating the tasks so many dates that have past are
shown as green becuase the pm has not updated the project. I realise that
this is not a software issue more a management issue bit you CAN track this
in Project Server using status indicators and having them showing that a task
is behind schedule even if the task has not been updated. Can we replicate
this in PWA with an amendment to the traffic light formula so that it shows
in another colour all those that are behind schedule (including for the
reqson that the date has been past and they have not been updated)?

Hi Peter,

Not knowing what you want to do in detail, but assuming that you are working
with Dates ( Start, Finish, baseline Start and finish and actual start and
finish), I would suggest to incorporate the "current date" which is also a
Formular value that you can use.
I use this often to see if my Start date has "past" or is still in the
"future". At the same time you can also give the formular a different value
if the start date is late, therefore you can give your traffic light a
different colour, should your task not been "completed" on time ( or hasent
started on time)
I hope I pushed you in the right direction
