I have a publisher document and I need to tranfer it to a pdf file but when I
try to save as pdf, I get the following errror. (Adobe reader could not
open file because it is either not a supported file type or because the file
has been damaged)(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't
correctly decoded)

How...exactly are you creating the .pdf?

In addition to Mary's advice, I would like to mention that the free PDf
creator softwares install as printers. So, rather than "converting" to a PDF,
you in essence print to a PDF; the PDF option will appear in the dropdown
list of printers.

Hi,

You may try Advanced PDF Repair at http://www.datanumen.com/apdfr/
This tool is rather useful in salvaging damaged PDF documents. Hope
this helps.
