transfer contacts from peer-to-peer workstation to SBS2003 worksta

I have upgraded a client from a peer-to-peer network to aSBS 2003 network. On
two machines (XP Pro SP2) and on one machine (Windows 2000 Pro with latest
SP) these is no .pst file. On the XP Pro machines in the following directory
-- C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
there is an Ootlook.NK2 file and in the same subdirectory designation on the
W2K Pro machined there is and Outlook .ost file. These files are about the
size and date for the data needed in the new environment. The one KB article
which discussess importing contacts and email from one installation only
looks at importing .pst files and does not address this situation. I would
like some direction as to how to accomplish the transfer.

Thanks

If they weren't connecting to Exchange while in the Peer to Peer there will
not be an ost file. Have you turned on "Show hidden files and folders" and
set the Search option (for the XP pc) to search hidden files and folders.
Typically pst are located here Documents and Settings\User_Profile\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. Also you may need to do this
search with Administrator privileges.

Exchange wasn't part of the mix while in the peer-to-peer. Each workstation
had a static IP address and was going out to a third party mail server to
download their emails via pop3/smtp. The only "Outlook" data file in the
subdirectory you mentioned in outlook.nk2. Is there a conversion program to
allow this file to be readable as a .pst file and thus allow contacts and
previous emails to be read in the SBS/Exchange enabled Outlook?

Thanks
