transfer from normal excel file to excel list

Im trying to work out how i can transfer a list of info i've created in a normal excel file, into one of the excel 'list' templates, but cant find out how to make to files compatable... does anyone have any ideas??

Are you trying to copy into one of the new List Ledger Sheets that are in
the Elements Gallery?
