Transfer Mdb to another PC

In the past, on the odd occasion I have been away from home, so that I can
carry on working on my database, I have transfered my large mdb file from my
desktop to my laptop. No problems. Now, if I do that, te database does not
work correctly on the laptop, though transfer that database back to the
desktop and it works with no problem.
The problems are:
1 Some fields are configured to automatically produce the date and of
creation of the new record.
2 'CTRL : ' does not automatically insert the date so the date has to be
inserted manually. When using the sortcut CRTL : the followiing message is
produced. "Function is not available iin expression in table-level validation
expression"
3 There are also a few other functions which do not work

As I wrote earlier, transfer mdb back to the laptop and all works well.
I am using Access2002(10.6771.6735) SP3 with Windows XP Pro on both machines.

Your References collection is probably messed up.

References problems can be caused by differences in either the location or
file version of certain files between the machine where the application was
developed, and where it's being run (or the file missing completely from the
target machine). Such differences are common when new software is installed.

On the machine where it's not working, open any code module. Select Tools |
References from the menu bar. Examine all of the selected references.

If any of the selected references have "MISSING:" in front of them, unselect
them, and back out of the dialog. If you really need the reference(s) you
just unselected (you can tell by doing a Compile All Modules), go back in
and reselect them.

If none have "MISSING:", select an additional reference at random, back out
of the dialog, then go back in and unselect the reference you just added. If
that doesn't solve the problem, try to unselect as many of the selected
references as you can (Access may not let you unselect them all), back out
of the dialog, then go back in and reselect the references you just
unselected. (NOTE: write down what the references are before you delete
them, because they'll be in a different order when you go back in)

Many thanks for your speedy response. Your suggestion appears to have done
the trick even though some References are different on the desktop fromthose
on the laptop and I cannot find some references on the laptop which are on
the desktop.
